School Improvement Plan for Student Achievement and Well-Being

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board supports students to become discerning believers, lifelong learners and responsible citizens.

Each year, our Catholic schools develop a School Improvement Plan and Well-Being Plan to help guide our work in supporting our students. Our 'SIPSAW' as it is called is designed with consultation from our Catholic School Council, our Students and our School Staff. The work we do on this plan is extremely important in setting the direction for improvement of our community. We always do our best to do well, but we must plan if we wish to do better.

This highlights of our 2022-2023 School Improvement Plan Include (but not limited to):

  1. Increased proficiency in math fluency and problem-solving strategies
  2. Reaching Every Reader - a Board plan which addresses early literacy skills and targeted intervention within the school
  3. Promoting and increasing Inquiry Based Learning
  4. In partnership with our School Council, we are planning and designing outdoor learning spaces for students and community members to utilize as applicable
  5. Continue to strengthen our relationship with our parish by participating in monthly masses at Sacred Heart Catholic Church
